We participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Hard copy applications cannot be considered.  We currently have no unexpected vacancies in the residency and all of our applicant positions are committed through ERAS and the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) only. 

Timeline

September 1, 2008

  • Residency applicants may begin selecting and applying to residency programs
  • Residency programs can begin contacting the ERAS Post Office to download application files

November 1, 2008

  • MSPE’s are released

November 5, 2008

  • Deadline for completed applications to be received from our program
    • A completed application consists of the following:
      • ERAS Common Application
      • Dean’s Letter
      • Three Letters of Recommendation (two of which must be by emergency medicine physicians. Those provided by emergency medicine specialists must use the CORD-SLOR form which can be downloaded from the CORD website, cordem.org/slor.htm.
      • Step 1 UMSLE or Step I NBOME transcripts
      • Medical School transcript
      • Personal Statement

November, 2008 – January, 2009

February, 2009

  • Deadline for program and applicant rank lists

March, 2009

  • NRMP Match
