While our Emergency Medicine program is undeniably demanding and fast-paced, many of our resident physicians are also parents, balancing the responsibilities of medical training with the equally important role of raising children. We are proud to support these residents in both their professional and personal journeys. The UNLV Emergency Medicine Residency Program recognizes that family life is an integral part of well-being.
With a supportive faculty, a strong sense of camaraderie among peers, and a program leadership that values family life, our residents are empowered to be present and involved parents. It is also common to see residents’ children at program social events, bonding with faculty and co-residents alike.

And, if having human children isn't for you, we fully support that too. We love our fur-babies like family as well :)
