The Department of Emergency Medicine Student Rotation is a very popular rotation and we receive a high number of requests.  Because of this reason, the application is a two-step process in which the Department of Emergency Medicine will pre-screen applicants at no cost prior to the formal application process through the University of Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM). Applicants need to submit the following information in order to be considered: 

      1 – A medical school transcript.
      2 – Step 1 USMLE or COMPLEX scores.
      3 – Dates requesting to rotate (see schedule below).

Documents will be accepted starting April 1st. Notification will be given to the student within two weeks, if they have been accepted. Once notified, the student can complete the official UNSOM application process starting May 15th. You must complete all appropriate paperwork two months prior to the starting date. If all paper work is not completed by this time your spot will be offered to a student on the waitlist.
