St. Rose Dominican Hospital's Siena Campus is a 214-bed community hospital located in Henderson, Nevada, approximately 20 minutes from University Medical Center. St. Rose Siena's emergency department has an annual patient volume of over 51,000 patients, and has a considerable number of patients with acute myocardial infarction, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, and severe sepsis. The facility includes 26 ICU beds with a Level III Neonatal ICU, 2 cardiac catheterization labs, cardiothoracic and neurosurgical interventional capability, and is a Level III Trauma Center. During their second and third years of education, Emergency Medicine residents complete a 4-week rotation in the St. Rose Siena emergency department, where they develop their skills in patient evaluation and management, as well as the compassionate delivery of care, in a community hospital environment.
