The Department of Emergency Medicine operates a robust Research Assistant program, with over 30 Research Assistants actively participating. The program provides a supportive role for the multiple research projects of Emergency Medicine faculty and residents. The program is comprised of volunteers, most of whom are enrolled in college pre-professional courses and interested in pursuing careers in healthcare.
All Research Assistants participate alongside providers in a clinical setting in a supportive role, while interacting with patients and completing research objectives in a caring and professional demeanor.
