Residency Applicants

Residency Applicants

For the 2025-2026 Application Cycle in Emergency Medicine, we will be following the recommendation that all emergency medicine residency programs transition to ResidencyCAS instead of ERAS.

OB/GYN successfully used this platform during the 2024-2025 application season.

We currently have no unexpected vacancies in the residency and all of our applicant positions are committed through the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) or the military match.

All correspondence regarding the status of your application is conducted by e-mail – applicants should therefore have a reliable e-mail address that is checked in a timely manner.  If you have additional questions, please contact us at [email protected] or call our administrative office at (702) 388-7885, ext.3.

Interview Day Details

Interviews will be granted after review of a completed application.  Candidates will be contacted via email by the Program Coordinator if granted an interview.  Interviews occur on Wednesdays, and will mostly be conducted via zoom. Our administrative office is located at 820 Rancho Ln

Candidates are strongly encouraged to attend the resident 'Meet & Greet' that takes place on the Tuesday evening prior to the interview day, which provides an opportunity to get to know our residents in an informal setting and gain an appreciation of the sense of camaraderie here.  If interviewing on-site, candidates are also invited and encouraged to do a 'shadowing shift' within the University Medical Center (UMC) Emergency Department, either before or after the interview day, in order to develop additional insight into the dynamic setting of our program.

Candidates have previously had success staying at the Sahara Hotel (formerly called the 'SLS'), which tends to have very reasonable rates and is less than 2 miles from your interview location.
*UPDATE: Interviews will be conducted virtually for the application cycle. Please see this page for updates when details are finalized. Interviews will include a virtual resident ‘Meet & Greet’ session, typically held on Tuesday evenings.*
