Red Rock Canyon is 20 minutes away and offers world class climbing and hiking. Mt. Charleston is a great escape in the hot summer months, with skiing and snowboarding at Lee Canyon in the winter. Lake Mead offers water sports and fishing 30 minutes away. Various national parks and ski resorts are within 2 hours.
