UNLV Emergency Ultrasound Program
Point of care ultrasound has become an integral part of patient care in the field of emergency medicine. We understand the importance of ensuring that our residents become competent in all of the core bedside ultrasound applications and have a comprehension of advancements in the ultrasound field. Our emergency ultrasound program is directed by Jamie Baydoun, M.D., ARDMS Certified, and Brian Ault, D.O. Beginning with the intern orientation process, our EM residents are exposed to bedside ultrasound as well as ultrasound physics during a day-long workshop. This allows our residents to start incorporating ultrasound into their patient care from their first clinical shifts.
